Click to purchase or for more info.

We’re mega excited about this one around here! Introducing our all hand silkscreen printed, limited edition poster for Paramore for their 2011 Tour.

The darker side of Spring exposed for the band Paramore here in our poster for them. We’re so stoked working with these guys on a Spring 2011 poster.
All things grow in Spring, but all things may not always be what you expect. Dark, sweet, and sharp. That’s the allure of Paramore.

Available for sale at my website here and also in my Etsy shop here, this my all hand screenprinted poster for Paramore with bright blue, midnight black and scarlet red hand-mixed acrylic silkscreen inks. Edition: 300 to the band (look for them on tour and from their website!) and an Artist’s Edition of only 50 posters is available for sale here. All 350 limited edition posters are signed & numbered (by me, strawberryluna) Size: 16×22 inches (39.4 cm x 55.9 cm.) Paper: archival Cougar, White 100lb cover weight.

Are you a Paramore Superfan? They you will love what they’ve done that’s all rad and high tech with their copies of our poster. Oh yeah! The future is here. Only at the Paramore webstore, each poster includes a QR code on the back that will take you to a website with three options for mobile wallpapers that feature three unreleased photos of the band. The QR code can only be scanned by those who have a camera phone with a barcode reader and internet connection on their phone.

New print release: Going To See My Baby Yellow!

New, all hand screenprinted 6-color silkscreen art print Going To See My Baby Yellow available now! (Click for more info or to purchase.)

Spring is finally here! And to match the growing warmth and springy feel, here is a new silkscreen art print release! Going To See My Baby Yellow, a brand new colorway of my super popular art print about bicycles, love and that special glee. You know the feeling.

This hand-pulled & hand screenprinted happy day is a brand new colorway of a very popular print that I did in 2007, but in a super small edition for the Screens’n’Spokes fundraiser, now returned in fresh spring lemony yellow and soft sky-blue, just for you.

Going To See My Baby Yellow is my 6-color, all hand screen printed art print with fresh lemon yellow, bright bike red, dark grey, black and soft transparent sky-baby-blue hand-mixed and non-toxic water based silkscreen inks. And yes! The sky-baby-blue cloud breaks the margin/border just like a good cloud should, and it’s partially transparent over the white margin. Tweet! Edition of 200. Size: 16 x22 inches (39.4 cm x 55.9 cm.) Paper: no acid, archival Cougar, White 100lb cover weight.

For more information about this print, or to purchase, visit my website here or check out my Etsy shop here.

Some of the previous colorways like Baby Blue, Orange, Lavender, and Sage are now all sold out, enabling us to donate to a cause we really have close to our hearts, The National MS Society. And, a portion of the sale of each of these prints is donated to The National MS Society as well .

New poster released: The New Pornographers in NYC!

Hot-cha! 2-color, all hand screenprinted poster for The New Pornographers' show at Terminal 5 in NYC. (click to purchase or for more info)

I’m a little late to post this, my apologies. Summer brain seems to have taken a good hold of me lately when I’m not working.

Anyhoo, here is our latest poster, and we’re pretty danged excited about this one. We’re a part of The New Pornographers tour poster series for their Summer 2010 tour. A tour series is where a band commissions a different poster for each stop on their tour, and it’s always a treat to see the variety of work, as well as it being a super way for fans to connect to that night’s show.

Details:

Hand screenprinted poster for The New Pornographers with The Dodos, and The Dutchess & The Duke’s show on June 19, 2010 at Terminal 5, New York, NY.

One of our long time favorites, The New Pornographers. Huzzaah! We are really excited to be a part of their summer 2010 tour poster series, where the band has a different gig poster artist do a different poster design for each stop on the tour. Plus the neato line up of bands on this tour, and, being that we’re super down with NYC, winner winner! So hey chum, you are looking at my all hand screenprinted poster for this awesome line up of bands. It’s my 2-color, suggestive and rockin’ all hand screenprinted poster with tender pink and midnight black, hand mixed and non-toxic water based screenprinting inks.
Like all of my posters, this limited edition silkscreen poster is signed (by me) and numbered in a limited edition of 240. Size: 16 x22 inches (39.4 cm x 55.9 cm.) Paper: archival Cougar, White 100lb cover weight.
This poster was sold by the band at the show on June 19th at Terminal 5, and it’s now available on my website here too for $20+ shipping. Got questions? Email me! allison [ a t  ] strawberryluna dot com.
Here are a few process photos that I took while printing too, and there are more in my Flickr account here as well. Or, just click on any image below.

New poster released: Beach House

4 color, all hand screenprinted poster for Beach House (click for more info or to purchase)

We love Beach House, so so much. Semi ethereal, almost otherworldly-ghostly quality that I (of course) really dig, You’d have to close your ears hard not to notice that their lyrics often involve the sea, salt water, and drifting oceanic themes, like a ghost-ship, the kind that are found abandoned at sea carrying on alone.

And therefore, you are looking at my all hand screenprinted poster for the incomparable Beach House. It’s my 4-color, all hand screenprinted poster with ocean-sky blue, deep sea blue, and timber brown hand mixed and non-toxic water based screenprinting inks. The dark ocean blue overprints the timber brown of the ship to make a 4th color, overprint magic!

These posters were sold at the show. Didn’t get one there? Lucky you, I have a few copies left for sale. This limited edition poster is signed (by me) and numbered. Edition of 98. Size: 16 x22 inches (39.4 cm x 55.9 cm.) Paper: archival Cougar, White 100lb cover weight.

Now available at my website here.

And, here are some process photos for you below, also more are on my Flickr account too.

Rock, Paper, Show realease party & our first book signing @ The Strand, NYC June 4th.

(click for more info about the Rock Paper Show, Flatstock book)

Next week is going to be a huge, big ridiculous week for us at strawberryluna. And, to boot, it’s in the hugest, biggest, most ridiculous city in the country. So, perfect!

Not only are we doing the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn next weekend, and are participating in the Rock For Kids Poster Artist Interview Series, but, we’ve also amazingly been invited to be a part of the Rock  Paper Show Flatstock book release party on Friday evening, June 4th, 2010. Holy smokes. And to boot, it’s made better by the fact that the release party event is at my absolute favorite bookstore, let alone one of my favorite places on the entire planet. The Strand bookstore in Manhattan! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Can’t even believe it. Any time that I am in NYC, I definitely make sure to get into the hallowed walls and rows of The Strand, but this time, not just as a book nerd, but as an artist in the rock poster movement representing Rock Paper Show & Flatstock.

Someone pinch me, cause I must be dreaming.

The one & only Strand Bookstore at 4th & Broadway in Manhattan.

For the special release party and book signing at The Strand bookstore,  Geoff Peveto, curator of Rock Paper Show, president of the American Poster Institute and partner in The Decoder Ring, an Austin based design collective, will be available to discuss the history of Flatstock and the steady growth of the gig poster community. Featured Rock Paper Show artists Hero, Mat Daly, strawberryluna, Vahalla, and Tara McPheerson will all be available to sign copies, as well as Holly Gressley of Rumors, the book’s designer, and Mike Treff from Soundscreen Design, the book’s publisher and producer.

If you are in the New York City area on Friday evening, June 4th, come check us out and say hello. We’d love to say hi and talk about posters and books. Cause we’re dorks.

Can’t wait to see you again my old friend, The Strand.

Rock Paper Show: New York Release Party info:

Date: Jun 4, 2010
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: The Strand — 828 Broadway, New York (4th & Broadway) (212) 473-1452

For more information about the 18 miles of books at this historic and heavenly bookstore, click here.

For more information about the Rock Paper Show Flatstock book, read my blog post here.

And here is a photo that I took there in my geeky glee on a visit in 2007.

New poster released: Moe. Snoe.down 2010

My new screenprinted poster for Moe.'s Snoe.down 2010, 4-colors (click for more info or to buy)

This is our newest poster release all new and ready to go home with you:

It’s the good time winter fun fest of  Moe. and their huge Snoe.down Festival jam. We’re super excited to be working with Moe. When they contacted us, the mission was to mix things up from their previous posters and produce something fun, child-like and fresh. So, we Let loose & had a snowy good time with it for them. Wheee!

Snoe.down is the all-ages annual winter music festival hosted by moe. and not only features multiple sets by Moe., but in 2010 also playing are funk/soul group Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, jam-grass favorites Railroad Earth, Assembly of Dust, and Hot Day at the Zoo, southern rockers the Bridge, up-and-coming jam-rockers the McLovins, and the Heavy Pets plus Leroy Justice, Lynch, and Moon Alice.

This is my 4-color, hand screenprinted poster with snowy light blue, warm orange and black hand-mixed, non-toxic water based acrylic inks. Super secret magic: transparent baby blue & orange inks = light brown, magical overprints. (Overprints are when semi-transparent layers of ink combine and overlap to make another color.) I will have a very limited number of this poster for sale, as most of the edition was sold by the band during the Snoe.down festival. Size: 18w x 24h inches. Edition of 675. Paper: acid-free & archival Cougar 100 lb White, cover weight. $25

I design and hand screenprint all of my posters and prints. Let me know if you have any questions! Unless otherwise requested, all orders are shipped within 5 business days, though usually much sooner. I like stupid little toys, hopefully you do too because there will be one or two in your tube.

My new Moe. Snoe.down Festival poster is now available for purchase, click this link for my website or on the image above.

New poster released: Magnolia Electric Co.

3-color, all hand screenprinted poster for Magnolia Electric Co.'s show on 7/15/09.

3-color, all hand screenprinted poster for Magnolia Electric Co.'s show on 7/15/09.

Heartbreakers. In a great way. That’s what Jason Molina’s band,  Magnolia Electric Co. are, and they’re amazing. I’m pleased as puch to be a part of the summer 2009 Magnolia Electric Co. tour series of posters, (a different limited edition, hand screenprinted poster was produced by artists from all over the country, one poster for each night of the tour) and had such a fun time at the show last night at The Andy Warhol Museum seeing MEC and the super cool Sand Diego band, The Donkeys. Thanks so much again!

Sometimes something beautiful goes wrong, in a beautiful way. KABOOM! This is my all hand screenprinted poster for the heartbreakingly lovely Magnolia Electric Co. It’s a 3-color, print with heart red, alarm-orange and midnight black inks. The orange ink is swirled into the red throughout the bombs and the text so that each print is unique and different. (Just like you Butterfly.) Edition of just 85, so they’ll go quick. Size: 16w x 22h inches. Paper: acid-free & archival Cougar 100 lb White, cover weight.

* This poster is now available on my website here, and also on tour with Magnolia Electric Co. this summer! *
